Three Aspects Affecting Switched Reluctance Motor Stability

 When using a switched reluctance motor, stability is very important, so when using a motor, we need to know more about the reasons that affect the motor and stability, so as to better prevent and solve the problem.
  1. Improper assembly of the motor

The motor shaft is different from the shaft of the towing device, which results in excessive radial loads on the switched reluctance motor, resulting in metal fatigue. If the radial load on the protruding end of the motor shaft is too large, the motor shaft will bend and deform in the radial direction. As the motor rotates, the shaft twists and deforms in all directions, damaging the motor shaft, which is usually closer to the bearing.
  For a motor connected by a pulley, if the pulley matches the output shaft of the switched reluctance motor, during operation, due to the excessive weight of the pulley or the tight belt, it may cause a lot of stress on the output shaft of the motor. Larger bending moments due to continuous stress are located near the output shaft fulcrum. If the impact is repeated, fatigue will occur, causing the shaft to gradually crack and break completely, and the operating equipment and motors will be severely damaged and shaken. If the motor is not fixed firmly (such as running on the frame), the entire base will be unstable and shake during operation, the tension of the motor belt will be unstable, the tension will increase or decrease, and the shaft may be damaged.
  2. The machining stress groove of the motor shaft is unqualified. The failure is caused by the effect of shaft diameter and radial alternating stress.
  3. Some faulty shaft design itself
  If the shaft diameter changes rapidly, it is easy to break, but the problem is relatively small, and it is related to the design specifications of the motor. If the load of the motor is too large in an instant, the impact of external force may also cause damage to the shaft.
