Recently, Sony and Honda formed a joint venture called SONY Honda Mobility. The company has yet to reveal a brand name, but it has been revealed how it plans to compete with rivals in the electric vehicle market, with one idea being to build a car around Sony’s PS5 gaming console.
Izumi Kawanishi, head of Sony Honda Mobility, said in an interview that they are planning to build an electric car around music, movies and the PlayStation 5, which they are said to be hoping to take on Tesla. Kawanishi, who was previously the head of Sony’s artificial intelligence robotics division, also called it “technically feasible” to incorporate the PS5 platform into their car.
