Why do some repaired motors just not work?

Motor repair is a problem that most motor users have to face, either because of cost considerations, or because of the special performance requirements of the motor; thus, large and small motor repair shops have emerged.

Among the many repair shops, there are standard professional repair shops, and some very low-end repair shops like cats and tigers; from the analysis of the effect of motor repair, some repair motors can basically reach the quality level of the original machine, and some even repair them because of The improvement effect of some links exceeds the expected quality level, which is of course the effect of professional repair shops; but the effect of motors repaired by many motor repair units is relatively poor, and some even appear to be unusable. The reason is Basically can be summed up in the following categories:

(1) The original performance of the motor body is not fully understood, so it is not suitable for the selection of repair materials, which mainly involves the selection of winding materials and bearing system materials.

(2) When there is a problem with the motor winding, according to the actual quality failure situation, it may involve the replacement of a winding. During this period, the influence of the original winding removal process on the magnetic performance of the iron core is a key factor. If the insulation performance and heat resistance of the material do not meet the requirements, it will directly affect the matching relationship between the insulation material of the motor and the temperature rise level, and the motor may fail again in a short period of time.

(3) When there is a problem with the bearing system of the motor, the selection and installation of the bearing model, as well as the matching of grease are the key. For motors with obvious faults in the bearing system, the relevant dimensions of the shaft and the bearing chamber should be inspected and repaired to prevent the regenerative failure of the bearing system caused by the running of the bearing.

In addition to the above factors, failure to fully understand the performance requirements of the original motor, and unexpected performance changes during the repair process are also the main reasons for the secondary problems of the motor, especially for some motors with extremely strict control requirements. If the level is not available, it is better not to undertake repairs lightly.
