Audi plans to build a second charging center in Zurich in the second half of the year

Following the success of the initial pilot phase in Nuremberg, Audi will expand its charging center concept, with plans to build a second pilot site in Zurich in the second half of the year, according to foreign media sources, Audi said in a statement . Test its compact modular charging hub concept, which offers bookable fast charging points, a 200-square-meter lounge and a terrace.

Following the opening of the charging center in the city of Zurich, Audi also plans to open charging centers in Salzburg and Berlin, and plans to add three more charging centers across Germany in 2023 and 2024 .

During the pilot phase, the Nuremberg charging station provided more than 3,100 charging cycles, with six pre-bookable high-power charging points available at the base . Audi reports that the center offers an average of 24 recharges per day, with a charge capacity of about 800 kilowatt-hours. An average of 35 customers a day come to its lounges where food service and seating are provided.
