BYD and SIXT cooperate to enter new energy vehicle leasing in Europe

On October 4, BYD announced that it has signed a cooperation agreement with SIXT, the world’s leading car rental company, to provide new energy vehicle rental services for the European market. According to the agreement between the two parties, SIXT will purchase at least 100,000 new energy vehicles from BYD in the next six years. A variety of BYD high-quality new energy vehicles will serve SIXT customers, including the newly launched Yuan PLUS in Europe. Vehicle deliveries will begin in the fourth quarter of this year, and the first phase of cooperative markets includes Germany, the United Kingdom, France, and the Netherlands.

Shu Youxing, general manager of BYD’s International Cooperation Department and European Branch, said: “SIXT is an important partner for BYD to enter the car rental market. We will work together to build a green dream, serve SIXT customers with high-quality products and leading technologies, and provide electric vehicles for electric vehicles.
