  A few days ago, we learned from relevant channels that BYD may build three new factories in Bahia, Brazil in the future. Interestingly, the largest of the three factories that Ford closed in Brazil is located here.

  It is reported that the Bahia state government calls BYD “the world’s largest electric vehicle manufacturer”, and it is also reported that BYD has signed a memorandum of understanding on this cooperation and will spend about 583 million US dollars to build three cars in Bahia state. new factory.

  One factory manufactures chassis for electric buses and electric trucks; one manufactures iron phosphate and lithium; and one manufactures pure electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles.

  It is understood that the construction of the factories will start in June 2023, two of which will be completed in September 2024 and put into use in October 2024; the other will be completed in December 2024, And it will be put into use from January 2025 (forecast as a factory for manufacturing pure electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles).

  It is reported that if the plan goes well, BYD will hire and train 1,200 workers locally.
