BYD passenger cars have all been equipped with blade batteries

BYD responded to netizens’ Q&A and said: At present, the company’s new energy passenger car models have been equipped with blade batteries.

It is understood that the BYD blade battery will come out in 2022. Compared with ternary lithium batteries, blade batteries have the advantages of high safety, long cycle life and low cost, and BYD “Han” is the first model equipped with blade batteries. It is worth mentioning that BYD has stated that the blade battery can be charged and discharged more than 3,000 times and travel 1.2 million kilometers. In other words, if you drive 60,000 kilometers a year, it will take about 20 years to run out of batteries.

It is reported that the internal upper cover of the BYD blade battery adopts a “honeycomb” structure, and the honeycomb structure can achieve higher stiffness and strength under the condition of equal weight of materials. The blade battery is stacked layer by layer, and the “chopstick” principle is used, so that the entire battery module has extremely high anti-collision and rolling performance.
