Among them, a total of 7,157 electric heavy-duty trucks were sold, a 4-fold increase (404%) compared with the 1,419 vehicles from January to September last year, outperforming the electric heavy-duty truck market from January to September.
In September 2022, the sales volume of battery-replaceable heavy trucks was 878, a year-on-year increase of 68.8%, which was 36.6 percentage points higher than the 40.6% growth rate of ordinary charging electric heavy trucks, and outperformed the 49.6% growth rate of the electric heavy truck market by nearly 19.2 percentage points. However, it underperformed the 67% growth rate of the new energy heavy truck market by nearly 1.8 percentage points.
In September 2022, the electric heavy-duty truck can outperform the electric heavy-duty truck market mainly because it has the advantages of faster power replenishment and lower initial purchase cost than ordinary pure electric heavy-duty truck models, and is more favored by customers.
Reasons for the rapid development of electric heavy trucks
